How to Add a Client
Add someone you train to GymCity, so you can track their class, payments, workouts and diet in one place.
Before you start
- The client's name, phone number and gender.
- The class they are joining. Each class has a plan with a price. If you have no class yet, you can add one from the form (step 3).
Step 1: Open Add Client
In the left menu, open Clients and choose All Clients. Then click Add Client at the top right. The form that opens is called Add Member.
- All Clients, under Clients in the left menu.
- The Add Client button.
Step 2: Enter the client's details
Fields marked with a red * are required. You can also add a photo, an email, a birth date, or more fields with Add More Info. Tick "Member agreed to WhatsApp messages" only if the client said yes.
- First Name and Last Name (required).
- Phone Number. It is optional, but it helps you find and contact the client.
- Gender (required).
Step 3: Choose the class
Join Date is today unless you change it. Choose the class the client is joining: the fees fill in from the class's plan. No class in the list? Click Add New next to Class to make one without leaving the form.
- Join Date (required).
- Class (required). Add New, above the list, makes a new class.
- Registration Fee and Fee come from the class's plan. You cannot type over them here; to charge a different price, change the plan under Plans & Services.
Step 4: Save
Address, division, city and postal code are optional. Click Save. GymCity opens the new client's page. The client now appears in All Clients, and you can give them a workout plan, a diet plan or take their first payment from there.
- The Save button.
If Something Goes Wrong
You have no classes yet. Click Add New next to Class, fill in the class and save it; it is then chosen for you.
A required field is empty. Look for red text under the fields: first name, last name, gender, join date and class are required.
For trainers the fees always come from the class's plan. Change the price of the plan under Plans & Services, or pick a class with a different plan.
